Key challenges of the Greater Poland labor market: Employers' meeting

Last Thursday, March 19, 2015, nearly 150 employers and directors and HR managers of companies from Greater Poland met in Poznań to talk about the challenges related to the employee market. The conference took place at the Sheraton Poznań Hotel.

Organizers, participants and patronage

We organized the conference together with LUX MED Sp. z o. o. and with the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone. The meeting was held under the patronage of Gazeta Wyborcza and the Ministry of Economy.

Conference agenda and presentation topics

The event included a number of lectures on key topics for Wielkopolska enterprises:

  • Current analysis of the labor market - Dr. Tomasz Kopczyński (Poznań University of Economics / Synergia company) presented an analysis of the Greater Poland labor market.

  • Acquiring and retaining the best employees - Kamila Goroncy (Head of the Personnel Center of Volkswagen Poznań Sp. z o. o.) and Beata Żaczek (CFO/Member of the Management Board of the PEKABEX Capital Group) discussed practical solutions used by companies from Greater Poland.

  • Employee health - Dr. Grzegorz Juszczyk (Director of the Corporate Prevention Department of LUX MED. Sp. z o. o.) talked about why it is worth taking care of employees' health.

  • Employing employees from outside the EU - Maciej Mularski (co-owner of the T. Mularski Vegetable and Fruit Producers Group) shared employers' experiences with employing employees from outside the European Union and presented proposals for statutory changes.

  • Pilot project of a patronage class - President of AUDIT HR - Violetta Panasiuk-Strzyżewska, discussed how to adapt the skills of vocational school graduates to the needs of the local labor market using a pilot project of a patronage class.

Employers' Meeting: Exchange of experiences and directions of HR development

The conference was a valuable platform for exchanging experiences for 150 HR leaders from Greater Poland, focusing on specific, practical solutions to the challenges of the employee market, including the importance of developing professional competences.
