We organized workshops for HR directors and managers from companies in northwestern Poland, in partnership with the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone (KSSSE) and the Goleniów City Hall. The conference, titled "Workers from Ukraine: An Alternative to the Labor Market", was our response to the challenging situation: negative population growth, economic emigration, and a shortage of qualified personnel, which since 2014 have transformed the labor market into an employee's market, forcing employers to seek alternative solutions, such as workers from beyond the eastern border. The workshops took place on November 26, 2015, in a moderated discussion format, at the headquarters of Stylepit Poland Sp. z o.o. in the Goleniów Industrial Park.
The meeting began with a welcome from representatives of the hosts and partners: Mr. Henryk Zajko, Deputy Mayor of the Goleniów Commune, and Mr. Maciej Borowski from the KSSSE. The event was led by a team of AUDIT HR specialists:
Violetta Panasiuk-Strzyżewska (President of the Management Board, creator of the Local Salary Report, Vice President of Lubuskie Pracodawcy) presented an overview of the current state of the labor market,
Katarzyna Skrzypińska-Krata (Foreigner Employment Coordinator) discussed in detail the topic "Workers from Ukraine: an alternative to the labor market",
Izabela Statkiewicz (Finance Director) presented various forms of employing foreigners.
During the workshop, we discussed the following topics in detail, providing HR directors and managers with ready-made solutions:

the process of legalizing residence.
Our Special Guest was Mr. Tomasz Jeziorkowski (Human Resources Director at TPV Displays Polska Sp. z o.o.), a practitioner who employs workers from the East. He shared his experiences with employing foreigners, which provided invaluable perspective from an employer's perspective.
