On April 24, 2024, we organized the 25th anniversary edition of our flagship conference. The event took place at the Zbigniew Herbert Provincial and Municipal Public Library in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The conference title was "LABOR MARKET 2024 - STILL AN EMPLOYEE'S MARKET?", reflecting the main dilemma facing entrepreneurs in the face of record-low unemployment and a sharp increase in employment costs.
The conference was opened by Violetta Panasiuk-Strzyżewska, President of the Management Board of AUDIT HR. In her presentation, "Labor Market – Current Situation. AUDIT HR Remuneration Report 2024 – Latest Data",she presented key data from the Remuneration Report.
Key findings from the 2024 Remuneraion Report:
Unemployment: The unemployment rate in Poland in February 2024 was 5.4%, and in Gorzów Wielkopolski it remained at 2.6%, confirming that the market remains an employee's market.
Wage pressure: We discussed the significant increase in employment costs: the minimum wage increased by 21.55%, and the median wage for an unskilled worker increased by 19.64%.
Fluctuation: The overall turnover rate in 2023 was 23.33%, posing a significant challenge to staff stability.
The program featured leading experts who discussed the most important strategic challenges:
Artificial Intelligence: Professor Aleksandra Przegalińska (Kozminski University) discussed the topic "Artificial Intelligence – Opportunities and Threats for the Labor Market."
Outsourcing Risk: Dr. Maciej Chakowski (Managing Partner at C&C Chakowski & Ciszek) analyzed the differences and risks associated with the topic "Employee Outsourcing or Process Outsourcing – Choosing an Insourcer at Risk."
The final part of the conference focused on practical legal regulations and managing an international team:
Remote Work: Szczepan Przybylak (Labor Inspector at the National Labor Inspectorate) discussed the topic "Remote Work Through the Eyes of Experts."
Hiring Foreigners: Valentyna Pryhodiuk (Foreigner Recruitment Coordinator at AUDIT HR) presented the topic "Employees from Eastern European Countries – Facts and Myths," providing insights into legalization and recruitment.
The conference, which concluded with refreshments and informal discussions, provided managers with a key source of knowledge about HR and strategic challenges in 2024.
